The Role of the Franchisee

As a Magicman franchisee you’ll run your own business, providing a professional surface repair and restoration service to the local market. Working from home and with a fully equipped and liveried van you’ll devote your time and energy to delivering the service to homes and businesses within a defined territory, called an Area of Prime Responsibility (APR). Time will also be spent administering and developing the business – estimating jobs, liaising with customers and promoting the business using techniques such as by networking, advertising and leafleting.
Your workload may also be enhanced by undertaking jobs on behalf of Magicman’s national account customers. These include construction companies, insurers, utilities and retailers.
We’ll provide the training, tools and guidance to help you easily handle all aspects of running the business. We’ve been doing just this for a number of years and so can show you exactly how to set up, run and develop your business.
As the business builds you’ll have the opportunity to either expand your team of technicians, adding extra vans and establishing a small administration team or to sell part of the APR so that the work volume is sufficient to continue supporting a single van business.
You’ll be the owner of a business, with all the responsibilities this involves and the considerable financial and life-style rewards it offers. Devoting a full and determined effort to the business is a minimum expectation but as franchisee you’ll also have to diligently follow the prescribed business methods and act as an ambassador of Magicman at all times.
